Simone Waldron is a writer and artist from Trinidad and Tobago. She is currently pursuing an ASc in Paralegal Studies at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Open Campus. Her poems and drawings focus on human intimacies and pitfalls. She hopes to combat global issues such as domestic and international violence, human rights infringements and the contemporary decay of empathy in the Caribbean and abroad. She is further motivated by her four children, her husband and parents; who has supported and helped her along the way. There are hurdles that we writers and artists also have to cross, as it takes us a numerous tries to perfect or appreciate what we have produced.
