The Hummingbird Performers is a Performing Arts group attached to the Hummingbirds Association which is a Charity Organization of Jamaicans resident in the Bahamas. This associations supports public and quasi-public entities in The Bahamas and Jamaica by donating to schools, hospitals, children’s homes as well as disaster relief efforts. The Hummingbird Performers has consistently represented and preserved Jamaican culture in The Bahamas through genres of dance, music and drama over many years. It comprises voluntary performers who have sacrificially endeavored to do so without any official funding. Its funding has come from part proceeds generated by events which it has either hosted or participated in. The remainder of proceeds generated by its hosted events have been directed towards the charitable efforts of its umbrella organization, The Hummingbirds Association. The Hummingbird performers has represented Jamaican culture from traditional to modern at private, national and international events held here in The Bahamas. It has been very well received and has emerged as currently a well recognized and respected Performing Arts group in The Bahamas.
