A creative and talented artist with a wealth of dance experience and undeniable passion for the
performing arts. Shakeil’s movement practice is influence by his experiences and years of
training in Traditional Folk Dance, Western African, Contemporary dance and Ballet synthesized
with Visual Arts and research, which forms part of his creative quest to form a new dance
language. In his effort to promote dance, Shakeil strives to create an environment for continuous
growth and development of the artists he works with while creating performances that both the
artist and audience can live inside.
