Romaine McNeil was born November 13 in the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica. It was very apparent that from a very young age, her artistic abilities would not just impact her life, but would also impact the lives of all those who took an interest in her creative talent. This young Caribbean artist is known for her provocative surrealism and semi-abstract painting and serene photographs that explores the depth of human nature, life, emotions and the interconnectivity of all things. Her photographs, like her paintings
captures the candid raw expression of the human spirit while documenting the stories that make up the spark of our lives. Having studied sculpture, painting and music at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston Jamaica, she has merged her passion for both music and visual art and often displays the marriage of the two in her work.
