Artist Bio

Randy Chollette is primarily self-taught artist, whose work is often distinguishable by its signature black outlined mosaic configurations. He moves confidently between realism and abstraction and his spiritual way of life is firmly woven into the style and theme of his works. A member of the Native Sons Collective, Chollette has been widely recognized for his work. He won the Kensington Lott Fine Arts Blue ‘Best in Show’ (2001) and the 2003 McCoy Prize ‘People’s Choice’ award, and the McCoy Prize, 2004. He exhibits extensively in the Cayman Islands and abroad, and his work can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, the Cayman National Cultural Foundation, the Cayman Islands National Museum, and in many private collections locally and internationally.
