Artist Bio

Rachael N. Collymore is a passionate consultant, creative strategist, publicist and WIPO certified IP Trainer. As the founding Director of Power Media Hub Co. Ltd., it is her intention to contribute to the creative landscape and innovate systems of operation. A core part of this is to shine light on the area of intellectual property rights, as it relates to the creative industries/orange economy and blockchain technologies for the sustainability of these sectors. Through Power Media Hub, she has hosted workshops on IP rights and collaborated with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to host the Copyright and Related Rights workshop for the
Music sector. Rachael was also a part of the O2N Style 2 panel discussion on the creative economy in 2019. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, along with other professional certifications and qualifications in Intellectual Property, Public Relations, Events Management, Social Media Marketing, Business and more. She also mentors with the Youth Business of Trinidad
and Tobago (YBTT).

She is the founder of the non-profit organization, Poetic Vibes Arts Foundation which is dedicated to the advancement of young artists and building social awareness through the arts. In this capacity, Rachael represented Trinidad and Tobago in 2015 at the Griot Summit in Toronto, Canada and presented on a panel on the advancement of the arts. For the past fifteen (15) years she has coordinated and facilitated workshops and events to fulfill this mandate. Such initiatives include: The Young Artists for Change Apprenticeship programme (2017), The Artisans for Change TT Festival (part of the 100TPC global movement for change), YTC Pilot Project and Synergia: a fusion of Art, Jazz & Poetry to name a few.

As a writer of poetry, Rachael has used this medium to channel her creative energies to issues she’s passionate about. Her poetry has been published in a few anthologies, such as, 'World of Change', 'She Sex' and '360 degrees'. She has also written for CPC Women in Business, Arc Magazine and other publications.

She is the former VP and current Secretary on the Board of the Circle of Poets of T&T and was also a part of the Steering Committee for the launch of the Poet Laureate of Trinidad & Tobago programme. Her desire is to see artists use their talent for social good and to see a viable and sustainable music and creative industry.
