Neala Bhagwansingh is a writer and copy editor from Trinidad and Tobago. Her poems, short stories and articles have appeared in The Caribbean Writer, Small Axe, Susumba’s Bookbag, Acalabash Poetry Portfolio and Maco People. She is currently working on her first collection of poetry and was shortlisted for the 2022 Bocas Emerging Writers Fellowship. Neala is an alumna of The Cropper Foundation Caribbean Writers’ Residency (Trinidad and Tobago, 2014), and The Drawing Room Project’s Writers’ Workshop (Jamaica, 2017).
Neala co-coordinated The 2019 Cropper Foundation Caribbean Writers’ Residency, and is the founder of Write Club, a peer-review writing group established in February 2014.
