I always knew that writing was my passion; that didn’t always make life and career choices any easier for me. I attended the University of the West Indies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Spanish. One would think that this qualification would be enough to secure an awesome job and travel the world. Unfortunately, it was not enough. My dreams of becoming a diplomat seemingly took an opposite turn as I was never quite the right "look" for the ''powers that be''. I was not daunted, I took advantage of every opportunity while never leaving behind my love of writing and musical expression. I believed if I could not travel to Dubai, India, Japan, and Ireland physically as a diplomat I would travel to these exotic places through my passion.

As a person living with a physical disability who resigned from a Media Monitoring Officer role, I didn’t have a choice but to succeed. I had to make my passion work for me. I found a way to make a living with writing while having the flexibility I needed to transition from being fully mobile to living with limited mobility. That’s how 876Writing Lab & Solutions, my content writing and publishing business was born. With continual relentless networking and working long hours into the night, she is blooming into the successful business I always dreamed of.
