Mykal Ziùn as he is popularly called transitioned from theater performance to freelance professional in 2021. He danced and toured internationally with the National Dance Theater Company of Jamaica for over 8 years, earning his spot as one of their senior dancers and a highlight at all their presentations. In 2020 Michael Small featured in the thought provoking Musical by Michael Holgate "Seville and di Bone Tribunal" and on multiple occasions invited to choreograph and perform for the Jamaica Dance Umbrella: the premier Dance festival in the entire Caribbean.
A philanthropist as well, Michael has volunteered his services to the Digicel Christmas foundation for Children and is an active member in the Portland Moore Town community, where he was shares cultural Dance to children between the ages of 6 - 16 for the Pikibo Prandes Summer Camp. Between 2019 - 2021 he was featured in several local and international dance projects and has choreographed several timeless pieces, and at 24 years of age he will tell you "I'm just getting started."
