Artist Bio

With her origins in the lush parish of Portland, Marsha-Lee drew inspiration for her crafts
from the natural bounty and rich culture around her. Now based in Kingston, her work focuses on artisanal candles, skin care products and afro-inspired headwear all created in her home studio; still keeeping inspiration from her rural beginings.
Honing her skills since 2015 in artisanal candle making, to include food-like replicas she has beeen able to merge her hand-made creations with her profession to provide unique, products that support self care and love. Marsha-Lee's work expresses her free spirit and love for the dynamic nature in which art can be expressed. She works mainly with soy wax, and fabric to create her pieces. Her work has beeen featured in the JBDC Business Dialogue (2015), The Flair and Outlook
Magazines (2018), the Christmas in July Showcase (2021 and 2021). She also went on have design protection granted for her Afro-centric headwear "EZ Wear Bonnet Wrap" at Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO).
