Ketsia Camacho Ramos (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, 1995 - ) is a non binary afroboricua poet, performer, videographer, photographer, graphic designer, and founder of Editorial Casa Cuna (2018) and La Juntilla (2019). Their work is a transdisciplinary exploration of bodies, sexualities, spirituality, and political resistance within the generational healing of racism, gender violence, poverty, migration, and capitalist violence. Their literature has been published in Shenandoah Literary Magazine Issue 72.2 (2023), “Still Worthwhile” Black Minds Magazine May 2023 Issue (2023), “Pa la posteridá: antología sobre el paso del Huracán María por Puerto Rico” (2018), “HUMO” (2017), among other online literature initiatives. Ketsia has published two books “Aceite de palo” (2022) and “Selección de poesía inedita” (2019).

They have presented their work in the Caribbean, Italy, and North, Central and South America with a decade-long artistic practice. Ketsia debuted their solo exhibit “doliere” in Casa Silvana (Humacao, Puerto Rico), and exhibited the mentioned work for the second time at Taller Libertá (Mayagüez, Puerto Rico). Among the most recent collective art exhibitions including Camacho-Ramos’ work during this year are: “Venice International Art Fair” (Palazzo Albrizzi Capello, Venice, Italy), “Nostalgia” (Artly Mix, São Paulo, Brasil), “Don’t drag me down: Today’s battle for liberation” (Koehnline Museum of Art, Chicago IL), “Equilibrium” (Artly Mix, São Paulo, Brasil), “The Body Remembers” (international online exhibition), “Afro Cuir” (Pública Espacio, San Juan, PR), “Trenzando Identidades” (Museo Casa Escuté, Carolina, PR), “Afrosur” (Museo Histórico Ramón Rivera Bermúdez, Coamo, PR), “Teatro Pa’l Barrio” (Taller Libertá, Mayagüez, PR, 2023), and “Psiquis: Cease and Desist Art and Music Festival” (Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, San Juan, PR, 2023). Ketsia is resident artist and collaborator of Taller Libertá, a collective art space/workshop in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.

Ketsia Camacho Ramos (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, 1995 - )
Artista transdisciplinarie y afrodescendiente de origen campesino. Es fundadore de Editorial Casa Cuna (2018) y el festival LA JUNTILLA (2019). Se destaca por su trayectoria como poeta, editore, performere, fotógrafe y gestore cultural. Explora diversos medios audiovisuales, incluyendo vídeo, pintura, dibujo, diseño gráfico e instalaciones. Es artista residente de Taller Libertá y colabora con Vueltabajo Teatro desde el 2018.

Ha presentado su trabajo en El Caribe, Latinoamérica, Estados Unidos y Europa gestando iniciativas artísticas en un esfuerzo por descentralizar las artes desde hace una década. Ha colaborado en distintas iniciativas literarias, tales como la antología argentina "Mujeres en el tiempo" (2015), la antología poética "HUMO" (2017), “Antología para el cambio social” (2017), "Pa la posteridá: antología sobre el paso del Huracán María por Puerto Rico" (2018), Shenandoah Literary Magazine Issue 72.2 (2023) y en “Still Worthwhile” Black Minds Magazine May 2023 Issue (2023). Sus más recientes publicaciones llevan como título "Aceite de palo" (2022) y "Selección de poesía inédita"(2019).

En el ámbito de la pintura y la fotografía, ha expuesto su trabajo recientemente en “Venice International Art Fair” (Palazzo Albrizzi Capello, Venice, Italy), “Nostalgia” (Artly Mix, São Paulo, Brasil), “Don’t drag me down: Today’s battle for liberation” (Koehnline Museum of Art, Chicago IL), “Equilibrium” (Artly Mix, São Paulo, Brasil), “The Body Remembers” (international online exhibition), “Afro Cuir” (Pública Espacio, San Juan, PR, 2023), la exposición individual “doliere” (Casa Silvana, Humacao & Taller Libertá, Mayagüez, PR, 2023), “Trenzando Identidades” (Museo Casa Escuté, Carolina, PR, 2023), “Afrosur” (Museo Histórico Ramón Rivera Bermúdez, Coamo, PR, 2023), "Teatro Pal Barrio" (Taller Libertá, Mayagüez, PR, 2023) y en “Psiquis: Cease and Desist Art and Music Festival” (Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, San Juan, PR, 2023).
Actualmente, forma parte del proyecto Maniobra, un programa de empleo cultural del Centro de Economía Creativa.
