Hey my name is Joshua Moore aka Jae Serieux. Music will always be my first love and my
appreciation began at a young age. I was introduced to several genres such as gospel and
classical music from around the age of four as my grandparents ensured that I attended piano
lessons every Saturday. I was also a part of my primary school choir.
Music gave me a voice especially when I felt mute.Trauma from sexual abuse silenced me and I
often felt that voicelessness. I was afraid to speak out or seek help.Through it all, I had music
which helped me cope. In secondary school I received therapy through the intervention of my
guidance counsellor. She helped me to embrace my desire to perform. I slowly built my
confidence and by my senior year I participated in every play or function I could audition for. I
knew that I wanted to inspire people and ease their pain through the performing arts.
