Javier Dayes was born on April 7 in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica. From an early age he demonstrated an innate artistic talent. He graduated from Munro College in 2009 and relocated to Kingston to pursue a bachelor's degree in architecture at the University of Technology, Jamaica. During his time in architecture school, Javier honed his aesthetic eye, experimented with his creativity and discovered his love for surrealism, abstract art, and minimalism. The artist, who is currently based in Manchester, Jamaica, has had work displayed at the National Gallery West in Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as the Peel Art Gallery, Museum, and Archive (PAMA) in Ontario, Canada. He creates small to large scale paintings and art prints.
