Artist Biography

Astrid Adjuah is a self-taught abstract artist who works with acrylic on
glass, fabric, and paper. She is a trained Project Manager and has a passion
for flowers and therefore a great love of form and colour. Each art piece is
a portrayal of both – as she “sees” it. She has been painting and crafting
for over 24 years with many pieces sold at various art and craft shows and
in souvenir stores around The Bahamas.
Astrid Adjuah lives and works in Nassau, Bahamas and completed her
Bachelor of Science degree in Plant and Soil Science from Tuskegee
University (Tuskegee, Alabama). The College of The Bahamas was the first
stop, earning an A.A. degree in Biology with Agriculture. She is a graduate
of St. John’s College High School. Adjuah is also a Certified Esthetician
(BTVI) and Make-up Artist. She has two sons and loves flowers, reading,
art and crafting.
