With powerful, sultry vocals and sex appeal to boot, Anna Mariah is poised to become Jamaica's
next music sensation.
Inspired by a generation of musical divas such as Marcia Griffiths, Whitney Houston, Aqua, Mary J
Blige, and Tessanne Chin; Anna's musical style channels the exotic island girl and is reminiscent
of a committed performer who captivates and commands her audience with style and
intensity.
Anna Mariah (affectionately called Anna) recently completed her BA in Jazz and Popular
Music Studies at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston,
Jamaica where she was the recipient of several academic scholarships including the Lois
Sherwood Burger King Scholarship, the Angela Harvey Scholarship (presented by the US
Embassy) as well as a scholarship from the CHASE Fund.
During her time at the college, Anna has taken every opportunity to engage with practitioners
in the music industry in Jamaica, balancing academics with practical experience. She finished
3rd in season 12 of Jamaica's Digicel Rising Stars competition and signed a management
contract with 360 ARTISTS leading to the release of her first single RUSH (a cover of the
Paula Abdul Billboard chart topper) produced by Othniel Taddy P Campbell, a
collaboration opportunity on King of the Dancehall, Beene Man's One Psalms single
produced by Adrian Locke of Locke City Music. She has performed on several major
events around the island, providing vocal support in studio to a number of producers, as
well as on stage with artists such as Denyque, Konshens, Ikaya, and J Capri. She was also
contracted by Headline Entertainment as supporting vocalist for the 2015 Pepsi Refresh
Tour and was a featured artist on the RJR Cross Country Road show. Anna Mariah recorded and shot a performance to remember, at the historical Harry J's
Recording Studio in Kingston Jamaica. There, she performed a medley of her songs,
along with some sweet tunes she loves to sing.

For her latest project, Anna Mariah performed a remix to Beyonce & Shatta Wale's hit
song, "Already," which was recorded and performed with Elly B, the Dancehall
Rockstar, who is another budding icon from Jamaica. A music video was shot by LEB
Studios, to go along with the eccentric remix.
Decked out in unique, fabulous styles curated by BRU the Stylist, Anna Mariah & the
Dancehall Rockstar completely rocked the music video, channeling the source;
Beyonce & Shatta Wale, and incorporating elements from their own Jamaican culture,
to give the song new life.
