Abdel Mason (Branzo)
876 – 346-2315 Born in Hopewell Hanover and now lives in Green Island Hanover where he has his woodwork
shop and small gallery.
Self-taught, inspired, wood sculptor. A gentle family-man of very few words.
Uses many different kinds of woods for their colour, texture and impact. Likes to study faces,
expressions, movement, unafraid of new ideas mixed with traditional expressions.
Depends mostly on tourist industry purchases for hotel décor.
Parish champion at Hanover art Festival in 1981, winner of best craft display at Western Expo in
1998.
Grant will assist sustainable living and working.
